- What to gift a man turning 40 who already has everything?
- An experience instead of another object that ends up in a drawer. Number one on the list: a drift class in a drift-prepped BMW E36 328i at a closed circuit — the one thing a guy who has driven all his life almost certainly never did. Drift Intro 300 USD (30 minutes behind the wheel) or Drift Experience 500 USD (60 minutes behind the wheel).
- How does the group gift among friends work for a 40th birthday?
- It is the most common setup for 40th birthdays: 4 friends × 75 USD = the 300 USD Drift Intro, or 5 friends × 100 USD = the 500 USD Drift Experience. One friend coordinates over WhatsApp, pays the 50% deposit by bank transfer (the rest is paid at the track on the day of the class), receives a digital voucher to hand over on the birthday, and the birthday guy later schedules whichever date suits him.
- How long does the class day last and what should he bring?
- Between 2 and 3 hours on site: briefing, reconnaissance laps, a 30 or 60 minute driving session depending on the package, and a debrief. He should bring comfortable clothes, closed shoes, a cap if sunny and an ID document (DNI or passport) for the circuit contract — no driver license is needed, because the track is a closed private circuit. 2-3 companions can come to the spectator area.
- Is there an age limit? What if it rains on class day?
- For now it is 18+ only: until the car has dual instructor pedals we do not take minors, neither driving nor as passengers. There is no maximum age: we have had students 60+. If it rains, the class goes ahead, whatever the weather — drifting on a wet track is easier and more fun. To reschedule for other reasons, the policy is 48 hours notice. Within 10 calendar days of purchase, giving 24 hours notice before the class, the statutory withdrawal right applies with a full refund (Argentine Law 24.240, art. 34); outside that window the payment is not refunded but moves to another date or transfers to another recipient.
