Drift as a Passenger or Drive It Yourself? How to Choose Your Experience

Drift as a Passenger or Drive It Yourself?

There are two ways to experience drift: riding shotgun while a pro drifts for you (pure adrenaline, no skill needed) or driving it yourself and learning the technique. The passenger ride-along is offered by our sister site Drift Taxi; driving the BMW E36 with a one-on-one instructor is Drift School's class, from 300 USD. This article helps you choose based on what you actually want. This article is currently available in Spanish; a native version is coming soon.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between drift as a passenger and the drift class?
As a passenger you ride along while a pro drifts and you feel the adrenaline without driving or needing any skill. In Drift School's class you drive a BMW E36 with an instructor guiding you and you learn the technique. The ride-along is offered by sister site Drift Taxi; the class to drive is ours.
Can I feel the drift without having to learn to drive it?
Yes. That is what drift as a passenger (drift taxi) is for: you ride along, touch nothing and enjoy the rotation and speed from inside. No manual gearbox or experience needed. It is offered by sister site Drift Taxi.
If I have never drifted, should I start as a passenger or take the class?
It depends on what you want. If you just want to try the adrenaline once with no effort, the passenger ride is the easiest entry. If you want to learn to do it yourself, the class is designed for absolute beginners and needs no prior experience.
Does Drift School offer drift as a passenger?
No. Drift School is the experience where you drive. Drift as a passenger is offered by our sister site Drift Taxi (drifttaxi.com.ar). They are separate businesses in the same ecosystem: we route you to each one based on what you want.
Can I do both experiences?
Yes, and it is a very common progression: you try the passenger ride for the adrenaline and then take the class to learn to drive it, or the other way around. Each format suits a different moment. Any question, we coordinate via WhatsApp at +54 9 11 6833-3342.
