Drift Events and Championships in Argentina 2026: Dates

The 2026 drift calendar, with nothing made up
If you are looking for Argentine drift dates for 2026, you will hit one problem: almost all the information lives in Instagram stories that vanish in 24 hours. So this guide separates what is confirmed from what is not, and gives you the official handles so you can verify it yourself instead of trusting a date someone copied wrong. There are 2 main streams of activity: open track days (you show up, pay for the session and drive) and championships (judged competitions with scoring and a season). Between them there are more than 4 active organizers, circuits in at least 5 provinces, and a 2026 season that, going by verified dates, runs from February (Bariloche) to October (Neuquen).
One thing up front: we are a drift school in Buenos Aires, not a championship organizer. What follows is information to help you map the scene. If your goal is to get sideways this month — not in a year — the honest shortcut is at the end.
What is left of 2026 (verified as of August 17)
This is everything with a confirmed date from now to the end of the year, with the source that backs each item:
Saturday, August 29 — Campeonato de Drift, El Picodromo (Av. Olimpo 80, Esteban Echeverria, Buenos Aires province), from 13:00. Run by Exposicion del Automotor: 20+ JDM cars sliding with professional drivers, plus a car show. Tickets through Passline (general admission $18,000 ARS; parking sold separately). It is the closest confirmed drift event to the city left this year, and it runs on the same circuit where we teach.
Saturday, August 29 — Track Day Argentina, Autodromo de San Nicolas (Buenos Aires province), 08:00 to 18:00. Recreational track day confirmed at trackdayargentina.com.ar. Heads up: TDA does not announce drift for this date — good for lapping your own car or watching, it is not a drift event.
September 5 and 6 — Experiencia Elite Motor Show, Infinito Open grounds (Cordoba capital). Drift exhibition show run by Manzur "El Jeque Drifter" and Sawicki. Confirmed on the organizer's site (experienciaelite.com) and in the press. Together with the August 29 Campeonato de Drift, these are the only two purely drift events with a confirmed date left this year.
Saturday, September 19 — Track Day Argentina, Autodromo Oscar Cabalen (Alta Gracia, Cordoba), 08:00 to 18:00. Same logic: track day confirmed on the TDA site, with no drift announced. It is the last published date of the TDA season.
October 3 and 4 — Experiencia Elite Motor Show, Casino Magic (Neuquen). Confirmed at experienciaelite.com.
Experiencia Elite also lists a Buenos Aires stop, but for now it shows as "Proximamente" (coming soon), with no day or venue. Everything else, for now, lives on Instagram.
Confirmed 2026 track days (Track Day Argentina)
Track Day Argentina (TDA) is the largest track day organizer in the country and one of the few in the ecosystem that publishes a verifiable calendar on its site (trackdayargentina.com.ar). A track day is not a championship: you bring your prepared (or rented) car, pay for the day and use the track in a controlled manner, with no scoring. As of August 9, TDA has two published dates left in the year:
Saturday, August 29 — Autodromo de San Nicolas (Buenos Aires province), 08:00 to 18:00. Recreational track day, confirmed at trackdayargentina.com.ar/events.
Saturday, September 19 — Autodromo Oscar Cabalen (Alta Gracia, Cordoba), 08:00 to 18:00. Same format. It is the last published date of the TDA season.
One important caveat: TDA does not announce drift for these dates. They are recreational track days — good for lapping your own car or soaking up the paddock atmosphere up close, but they are not drift events. If you show up expecting smoke and tandems, that is not the plan.
The first-semester dates have already run: May 23 at San Nicolas, June 15 at Mouras (La Plata), June 19 to 21 the Tafi/Cafayate Driving Tour, July 25 the Rosario Track & Classic and August 8 and 9 at Termas de Rio Hondo.
On pricing: TDA publishes driver, additional-driver and companion rates for its days, but the currency is not always clearly stated in each announcement. Rather than give you a number that could mislead you, the right move is to check the current rate and currency directly at trackdayargentina.com.ar before registering. Spots usually fill up fast, so booking ahead is not optional.
Real drift series and championships in Argentina
This is the part most articles make up. Argentine drift series are real and have years of history, but — except for Experiencia Elite, which publishes its tour on its own site — they do not publish an indexable calendar: they set dates on the fly on social media. So instead of throwing you a date that might be false, here is the name, what they are, and where to check the current date confirmed by them.
Experiencia Elite Motor Show
The only organization in the ecosystem with its own indexable calendar site (experienciaelite.com). It is a drift exhibition show — not a judged championship with scoring — run by Manzur "El Jeque Drifter" and Sawicki, in a touring format: it opened the year in Bariloche (February 14 and 15, at the base of Cerro Catedral), continues in Cordoba (September 5 and 6, Infinito Open grounds) and Neuquen (October 3 and 4, Casino Magic), and lists Buenos Aires as "Proximamente" (coming soon), with no date or venue yet.
Drift GP Argentina
Described on its own channels as the first Argentine Drift Championship. It has a public ruleset and a structure of rounds across the season. For the current calendar, check the dates on its official Instagram @driftgpargentina.
AGR Drift Competicion
A historic Argentine drift team and organization, based around Alta Gracia, Cordoba (the orbit of the Autodromo Oscar Cabalen). It competes in and organizes rounds of the Argentine championship. For the current calendar, check the dates on its official Instagram @agr_driftcompeticion.
Drift Sudamerica
A South-American championship that also runs rounds in Argentina. In 2025 it brought together teams from Argentina and Paraguay at the kart track of the Autodromo de Rafaela, and also visited Potrero de los Funes (San Luis) — that is past context, not a current date. For the current calendar, check the dates on its official Instagram @driftsudamerica.
Super Drift & Expo
An exhibition-and-competition event brand focused on high performance that in 2025 stopped at the Autodromo de Rafaela with around 28 teams. Like the others, its dates are announced on social media: check its official channels before planning a trip.
Nuclear No Limits / Potrero Drift Race
An organizer of regional drift events that in April 2026 ran the Potrero Drift Race at the Circuito Internacional de Potrero de los Funes (San Luis), won by Chilean driver Sebastian Gonzalez. Upcoming dates: on its social channels.
What already happened in 2026
The first half of the year left real, verifiable activity: Experiencia Elite opened the season in Bariloche (February 14 and 15, at the base of Cerro Catedral); on April 18 Nuclear No Limits ran the Potrero Drift Race at the Circuito Internacional de Potrero de los Funes, won by Chilean driver Sebastian Gonzalez; and from May 23 to 25 the Track Fest WKND (DriftMode ProAm) set up a speed festival with a drift zone at the FADEEAC grounds in Escobar — a festival with drift, not a pure drift event. Track Day Argentina, for its part, completed five track days between May and August (San Nicolas, Mouras, the Tafi/Cafayate Driving Tour, Rosario and Termas de Rio Hondo).
Do I want to watch, compete or learn?
Before diving into the calendar, it helps to be clear about which role you want. These are three different paths with very different costs and barriers.
Watch (spectator). The cheapest and most accessible: a spectator ticket to a track day or a championship round. You go, see the real level up close, talk to the paddock crowd and leave with a concrete idea of how far you can go. Ideal for your first contact.
Compete (driver). This requires a prepared car, homologated safety gear and, in championships, registration and a license per each series' ruleset. It is the long road: the typical progression goes from classes to track days, then amateur, and only then professional. You do not get there overnight.
Learn (student). The fastest entry point if you have no car and no contacts. A class with the car included gets you drifting on day one, with nothing to buy. If you are still unsure whether your thing is driving or just watching, read the difference between a track day and a drift class before deciding.
The shortcut: from spectator to wheel without waiting for the next event
The problem with an events calendar is that it is seasonal: if the next confirmed date is two months away, you wait two months. A class does not depend on anyone's calendar. At our school in Buenos Aires you drive a prepared BMW E36 328i — rear-wheel drive, locked differential and dialed-in suspension — with a professional instructor riding shotgun beside you on every lap, helmet on, on a private closed track in the outskirts of Buenos Aires. The 30-minute Drift Intro starts at 300 USD, the 60-minute Drift Experience at 500 USD, and the 5-session Pro Driver course at 2000 USD. You need no car, no gear and no contacts in the scene.
